Multipurpose dryer (It can dry basil, mint, zobo, hibiscuscalyx, moringa, ugu, jutemallow, ewedu, utazi, oha, bitterleaves, slicedfish, crayfish, kilishi, chilipeppers, habaneropeppers, herbs, spices, onions, okro, plantainchips, garlic, tumeric, mango, pineapple, coconut, bananachips, date, bayleaves, thyme, chillipepper, mushroom, splitginger etc.
Hybrid Solar Dryer is used to dry food materials such as fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, mushroom, cray fish etc. using generated heat from either solar radiation ,(Sunlight) and/or alternative heater.
This Hybrid Solar Dryer is designed and fabricated to generate heat from dual sources, i.e. Solar Radiation (Sunlight) and DC heater (PTC Heater) powered on photovoltaic module (Battery+Solar Panels) or AC heater (PTC Heater) powered on electricity/generating set /solar inverter.
Hybrid solar dryer improves drying efficiency and drying rate. It complements drying when sun is not sufficient. Hybrid solar dryer ranks best where flexibility, timeliness and food material nutrients, taste, colour, essential oil and other inherent properties are of importance.
N.B: Client provides power for the alternative heater, e.g. DC heater requires battery + solar charge controller + solar panel.
AC heater requires electricity or generating set or solar inverter
Our hybrid solar dryer are available in 5 trays, 10 trays and 20 trays. DC heater is suitable for 5 trays only while AC heater is suitable 5, 10 and 20 trays.
